My newest piece of admiration is the Asus EeeSlate. I did not like the restrictions of iOs or Android... I am a developer, so I need my eclipse, my linux, my other things. I did not need a toy to read the news, I wanted somethign I can bring to meetings and show the software I created (or helped create). And I wanted some replacement for my laptop (which was falling apart anyhow). This is why I ended up with a Core i5 tabled with 4gig of RAM and SSD. Now I can finally do what I want... first impression - Windows7+ToolsThis is entirely about my EeeSlate Ep121 - with Windows7. LinuxI like using Linux more than windows. Having a powerful command line and jsut copying your home folder and have all settings with you really makes me like that OS. Oh and it really is free... and open source... But getting it to work on such exotic Hardware is proving al little difficult- but I like the challenge. Windows CustomizationI am almost never satisfied with the defualt software. So I install what I loke best... and then fiddle around to get everything work. Here is what I had to do on the Slate. Most things are required on ANY slate/tablet pc. |
